Meteor Shoots Across Night Sky in Perth, Western Australia

Residents in Perth, Western Australia, reported seeing a bright light streak across the night sky on August 28.<a href="https://twitter.com/perthobs/status/1034419521124089856" target="_blank">Perth Observatory</a> said they’d had multiple reports of a large meteor flying over Perth. A manager at Perth’s Gravity Discovery Centre said the light had all the tell-tale signs of a decent-sized meteor, according to <a href="https://www.communitynews.com.au/hills-gazette/news/perth-residents-report-seeing-fireball-meteor-sky-hearing-explosion-york/" target="_blank">local news</a>.People in York reported hearing a loud boom which shook their houses and windows, according to <a href="http://www.abc.net.au/news/2018-08-29/perth-sky-lit-up-by-meteor-overnight/10176746" target="_blank"><span class="caps">ABC</span></a>.
